The Surrey Intercultural Seniors Social Inclusion Partnership (SISSIP) Network is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals for six Seed Grants in Surrey on January 1st, 2022.

This is the first Call for Seed Grants under the SISSIP Network Project. The Network is inviting proposals for the six seeds grants for a funding of up to $5000 each, for the period April 2022 to March 2023.

 

SEED GRANTS

Seed Grants are an opportunity for community service providers and organizations in Surrey to collaborate with the SISSIP Network to engage and support social inclusion and interculturalism for seniors in the city of Surrey.

There are 2 streams of seed grants that organizations can apply for:

1. New Ideas (3 Grants in total)

The Seed Grant is designed to help organizations change the way they support Seniors, Indigenous seniors, Immigrant seniors and marginalized seniors in the community.

2. Collaborative Activities (3 Grants in total)

The Seed Grant for Collaborative Activities is designed to help organizations collaborate with other organizations/community groups to organize innovative short-term activities that will lead to sustained collaborations that support intercultural developments.

 

APPLICATION & SUBMISSION PROCESS

The application is linked below and the submission deadline is February 1st, 2022. Applications will be accepted via email. Please submit your applications to: sissip@pics.bc.ca. If you have any questions regarding the Seed Grants you can email or call the Network at 604-596-7722 Ext. 307. The hours of operation are from Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.

The SISSIP Network

As a leading seniors project in Surrey, funded by New Horizons for Seniors Program, we strive to continuously learn and collaborate with community partners to address social isolation and make Surrey an intercultural and socially inclusive community for seniors 55+.

Our project currently has 7 active initiatives that offer unique and engaging programming to seniors. They vary from group recreational telephone calls, life coaching to intergenerational activities and digital literacy classes.
