SRDC – The Social Research and Demonstration Corporation

The Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC) is a board-governed Canadian non-profit organization, with considerable experience undertaking high-quality research and support to evidence-based decision making with respect to government programs and policy design. Our findings have helped governments, agencies, and foundations with evidence-informed insight, planning, and decision-making. Over the years, we have built a base of knowledge and experience in social policy about what works and does not work, with the belief that credible, well-communicated evidence can make a difference in policy development and program practice.

At SRDC we have an in-depth understanding of how systemic, structural, and social forces create barriers for seniors, and also how an intersectional, positive approach can identify sources of strength and resilience, and how to capture these in evaluation.  For the SISSIP Network evaluation, SRDC is using a Collective Impact Framework. To date, SRDC has conducted a number of evaluations using a Collective Impact Framework including a developmental evaluation assessing the extent to which five diverse projects collaborated effectively on a common vision, data collection to measure progress, mutually reinforcing activities, and communication, on a project aiming to help seniors age at home.
