Project Description
- ‘Connecting Generations’ provides an opportunity for dialogue by bringing together youth and seniors of diverse backgrounds and cultures
- The project facilitates the opportunity for dialogue within an environment where people feel comfortable to have conversations that would normally not be discussed and/or addressed from various cultures and generations
- Participants have had the opportunity to connect with another generation and community members they typically would not have the opportunity to meet with.
- Seniors and youth have enjoyed getting to know one another, learning from one another and understand each other perspectives

- Garden of Generations: share gardening skills and build relationships
Food Packages for Vulnerable Seniors and Youth in Surrey. This initiative provided meals, support individuals and families in need, built community connections, created positive engagement at home, and brought families closer together
Connecting Generation Community
In collaboration with the Kwantlen Park Secondary School Leos Club and community seniors, the Connecting Generations Community is an online activity where seniors and youth connect online to discuss common themes, participate in activities that are led by both generations. They engage in meaningful conversations which support the development of relationships that help to create an understanding of generational similarities and differences.
Garden of Generations
The Garden of Generations is an initiative in collaboration with Surrey Parks, located at Unwin Park in Newton. This initiative provides an opportunity for youth and seniors to engage through share gardening skills, build relationships, participate in activities such as a seed starting kit virtual workshop, planting at the park, maintenance and garden care, art feature and more!
