Surrey SHARES (a program dedicated to improving the well-being of “SENIORS” through Life Coaching and Storytelling) has started off the year recognizing a need in Surrey seniors. We have continued to support and coach program alumni through the holiday season. As a result, we are just wrapping up our second cohort this week and will be focusing on community awareness of the SISSIP Network and Network Programs as the intake for Cohort 3 begins.
In our past 2 Cohorts, people are reporting and we are witnessing meaningful and substantial growth. Most notably, our participants have indicated that they feel more connected, less isolated, feel more supported, feel like they have purpose again and feel like they are learning new skills. Many people have indicated, they are happy to have created a story that will be saved for generations to come and through the creation of their story there has been much healing.
Our next Cohort will begin in April with our recruitment beginning soon. This program is open to Surrey residents, 55+. If you or anyone you know might be interested in working with a Life Coach and Speaking coach to identify goals, create action plans, write a story that you wish to share, practice and perfect the story telling process and ultimately perform your story on camera then please let us know. We are looking for you!
We have had some wonderful success with the program so far and are excited to offer it again to a new group of Surrey Seniors (55+) in the Spring.
