The Sources Community Seniors Hub will provide services at 2 existing Sources locations:  Wednesday 9am-4pm at Sources Food Bank – 2343 156 Street, Surrey BC V4A 4V5 and Thursday and Friday 9am-4 pm at Sources Maple Street location – 882 Maple St, White Rock, BC V4B 4M2. The aim of the Community Seniors Hub is to improve seniors access community resources, programs and services and to strengthen relations between seniors and other intergenerational/ Intercultural groups in our community.

At the Community Seniors Hub, the Seniors Outreach Coordinator will provide assistance with form completion related to Federal, Provincial and health benefits, assist with internet searches for housing and help with completing housing and benefits applications, help with setting up online accounts, such as MYCRA and Service Canada accounts and connecting seniors to other programs, services, volunteer opportunities and events available to them in our community. The Community Seniors Hub will also be developing a Seniors Ambassador Volunteer opportunity, where trained peer volunteers will provide outreach to isolated seniors and connect them to the Hub coordinator or other programs and services available in our community. In the fall the Community Seniors Hub will be offering an intergenerational/intercultural Grandfriends program. This program will connect generations and build and strengthen intercultural relationships as well help children work on their penmanship!
